Eligibility and accounts
Petable is operated for users who are at least 18 years old. By using Petable, you confirm that you can agree to these terms and that your account information is accurate.
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
User content
You keep ownership of photos, comments, and other content you submit. You grant Petable a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, distribute, reproduce, and adapt your content as needed to operate, improve, moderate, and promote the service.
Only upload content you have the right to share. Avoid identifiable people, private spaces, license plates, exact addresses, or content that puts animals or people at risk.
Real-world safety
Petable is for observing animals from a safe, lawful distance. Do not trespass, enter private property, look into homes, yards, windows, vehicles, schools, workplaces, or restricted areas, or create suspicion or risk to get a photo.
Do not chase, corner, touch, feed, restrain, bait, flash, provoke, or otherwise stress animals for a post, badge, map pin, share card, or collection goal. If an animal, person, road, weather, location, or situation feels unsafe, leave the area and do not capture or upload the content.
You are responsible for following local laws, property rules, traffic rules, public-health guidance, and animal-control requirements. Petable does not provide emergency, medical, veterinary, rescue, or law-enforcement advice. If you are bitten, scratched, injured, threatened, or see an animal in distress, contact the appropriate local emergency, medical, public-health, animal welfare, or animal-control service.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users
Petable does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post, encourage, or use the service for harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, graphic violence, animal cruelty, unsafe animal handling, illegal activity, impersonation, spam, doxxing, privacy invasion, trespassing, or attempts to bypass moderation, anti-cheat, or security controls.
Reporting, blocking, and moderation
Petable may remove content, hide content, restrict visibility, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or report conduct when needed for safety, legal compliance, or service integrity. Users can report content, comments, sightings, or accounts and block abusive users through the in-app safety actions. Urgent reports can also be sent to support@petable.app.
Badges, collectibles, and limited cosmetics
Badges, launch-limited collectibles, issue numbers, frames, and other cosmetic items are virtual features of the service. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or exchanged, and do not represent property, currency, or any redeemable right.
Awards that depend on being first in a place or time window are granted only after automated and human safety review. Petable may delay, refuse, or revoke any badge, collectible, or cosmetic where the underlying capture involved unsafe behavior, trespass, staged or re-photographed images, manipulated location or device data, test or duplicate accounts, or any attempt to game award rules. Revocation decisions are recorded and may be reversed on appeal to support@petable.app.
Service availability
Petable may change, suspend, or discontinue features. The service is provided as-is and may depend on third-party services, network availability, maps, device permissions, storage, model inference, and app store systems.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Petable is provided without warranties of any kind, and Petable and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for injury, loss, or damage arising from real-world animal encounters, your travel to or presence at any location, or reliance on user-generated content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of your place of residence, and nothing in these terms affects mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
