Child Safety Standards

Effective: July 9, 2026

Scope and commitment

Petable is an 18+ social app for real photos of street, community, and outdoor cats and dogs. Even though Petable does not allow children to create accounts, we maintain a zero-tolerance standard for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) anywhere in the service.

These standards apply to all Petable surfaces, including profiles, usernames, photos, posts, stories, comments, animal pages, map sightings, messages where available, reports, appeals, and any other user-generated content.

What Petable prohibits

Petable prohibits content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes CSAM and any attempt to create, upload, store, share, request, trade, promote, link to, normalize, or evade detection of CSAM.

  • Sexualization of a minor, including real, edited, illustrated, computer-generated, or otherwise synthetic depictions.
  • Grooming, sextortion, coercion, trafficking, solicitation, or any predatory behavior involving a child.
  • Attempts to identify, contact, pressure, threaten, shame, or exploit a child or a person who appears to be a child.
  • Links, coded language, handles, profile text, comments, images, or other signals used to request, advertise, distribute, or facilitate CSAE or CSAM.

These rules are part of Petable's broader Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Severe child-safety violations are handled immediately and do not follow the ordinary warning ladder.

How to report concerns

The fastest way to report content or accounts in Petable is through the in-app report and block tools on posts, photos, comments, profiles, and other user surfaces. If you cannot use the in-app tools, email support@petable.app with the username, content link or screen name, approximate time, and a short explanation.

Do not download, copy, forward, or resend suspected CSAM. If a report concerns possible CSAM, provide identifiers that help us locate the content in Petable without redistributing the material.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first. In the United States, suspected online child sexual exploitation can also be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or by calling 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

How Petable acts on CSAM and CSAE reports

When Petable obtains actual knowledge of CSAM or other CSAE activity, we take appropriate action under these standards, our Terms, and applicable law. Depending on the case, this may include removing or disabling content, limiting distribution, preserving relevant account and content records, suspending or banning accounts, blocking repeat abuse, and escalating the matter for legal review.

Confirmed CSAM is removed from Petable. Accounts involved in creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, or facilitating CSAM are subject to permanent removal. Where required by law, Petable reports confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the appropriate regional authority.

Legal compliance and moderation

Petable maintains user-reporting, blocking, moderation, and escalation processes for user-generated content. We review child-safety reports with priority, preserve information when needed for safety or legal compliance, and cooperate with lawful requests from appropriate authorities.

Petable may update these standards as our product, moderation tooling, legal obligations, and app-store requirements evolve. We keep this page publicly available so users, reviewers, and regulators can understand our CSAE and CSAM standards.

Child safety point of contact
