You already notice them.

The tabby on the warm car bonnet. The good boy outside the corner shop.

Most people walk past. You never have. Petable is for you — the moment you actually had, kept like a postcard, pinned to a map your whole city fills with small, wonderful encounters.

How to Petable

The loop is simple: spot, collect, map, share. This one actually works — press the shutter.

  1. 1 · Spot

    Spot a friend

Open the camera when you meet one. Petable checks there's a real animal in frame — no gallery uploads, no internet photos, no fakes. Go on, press the shutter.

  3. 3 · Map

    Watch your city come alive

Every find joins a shared map as a fuzzy pin. Exact locations stay private, always — for the animals and for you.

  4. 4 · Share

    Send a postcard

Turn any find into a story-ready postcard for the friend who'd get it. Every share is a little flag that says: this city has stories.

A social app, but gentler

Petable is built for joy, not pressure — and built to be worthy of the animals in it.

Exact locations stay private

Public pins are fuzzed by about 200 metres. The precise spot where you met an animal is never shown to anyone — it keeps animals and spotters safe.

Every animal counts the same

No rarity tiers, no breed hierarchy. A one-eared street tabby and a show-perfect golden retriever get the same place in the album. Rarity comes from story, not pedigree.

No gates, no timers, no tricks

Petable is free. There are no energy meters, daily caps, or paid shortcuts — and your photo is never replaced with generated art. The only limit is the world.

Pip explaining

Petable is a feeling, not a command.

Spot kindly. Keep your distance, never chase or feed for a photo, and let the animal choose the moment. The best find is one nobody even noticed happening.

The map is quiet. For now.

Fair questions

What is Petable?

Petable is a free social app and collection game about the real animals you meet outside. When you spot a street cat or a friendly neighbourhood dog, you photograph it in the app, the photo becomes your collectible Find Card, and the sighting joins a living community map. Think of it as a scavenger hunt where the creatures are real and the photo is the treasure.

Is Petable free?

Yes. Petable is completely free: no energy timers, no daily caps, no paid gates on spotting, collecting, or sharing. You can spot as many animals as you meet — the only limit is the world.

When does Petable launch, and on which platforms?

Petable is coming to both iOS and Android. Beta testing opens soon — join the waitlist on petable.app and we will email you when your spot opens. Beta testers get early access and launch-limited collectibles.

What is the Petadex?

The Petadex is your sticker album of species and breeds. Every animal you spot fills a slot, and a city view shows what your whole community has collected together. Unspotted entries stay as gentle silhouettes, so there is always something left to find.

What is a First Finder?

The first person to spot an individual animal becomes its First Finder and keeps a permanent crown on that animal's profile. Later sightings of the same animal join its shared gallery and roam map, so the whole neighbourhood can follow its story.

Does Petable show exact animal locations?

No. Public map pins are fuzzed by roughly 200 metres, and the exact capture location is never shown to anyone. This protects both the animals and the people who spot them.
